A mural begins with the dimensions of your wall. Measure carefully, then confirm the final width and height you want us to produce.
Measure the whole wall
- Measure the width and height at several points. Use the widest width and tallest height.
- Include areas around doors, windows, slopes and outlets in the full wall dimensions. These openings are trimmed during installation; standard orders are not supplied pre-cut around them.
- We recommend adding 5 inches (12.7 cm) to the total width and 2 inches (5.08 cm) to the total height for trimming. Add these amounts once, not to each edge.
- Check your final production dimensions and artwork placement before approving your mural. If you have already included the allowance, do not add it again.
Allowance and panel overlap
Your approved crop represents the final production size, including any allowance you choose. Trimming allowance is separate from the 0.5-inch (1.27 cm) overlap between panels. Panel overlap is not an extra area of wall to measure or pay for.
